"minimum" problem

Hi guys. Lately I have problems with the “minimum”. The car rpm-s go to low and sometimes the engine turns-off . This especially happens when the engine is cold. Now I know of the problems with starting the engine and rpm-s going low on all the fiesta range but I thought it was fixed with the last software. They told me they uploaded the latest one, how can I check this? I also have the problem, going down the hill for example, pushing the clutch down and the rpm pointer goes crazy up and down . Regards.

never. Is it hard to do it? Is the MAF sensor somewhere in that area also, cos I know of the problems when it get's dirty. I'll take a look in ETIS about this. If you have some other ideas let me know. cheers.

+1 I did that when I was charged and it stopped me from cutting out too! It's always the throttle body that needs cleaning!

It'a a K&N panel and I installed it around 28 000km (now I have 30 000km) so I definitely think this is not the case ?

When I had my head and all skimmed, I had the same prob with idle and it was all over the place and stallin on me every time I stopped the car!!!! The air filter was very dirty so cleaned it, and seen the gunk in the throttle body.
Its 4 bolts that take 2 ticks to take off. Use carb cleaner and kitchen roll to clean it. Was so clean when I was done and she run like new car. Idle was perfect. Was crazy the difference!!
DO IT!!!!!!!!!!
sir, yes sir :-). I'll do it. thanks guys.

well it behaves different but I didn't take it for a ride yet. I'm going in the next hour. I'll update later on if it solved the problem. in the parking when I switch on, I push the accelerator, it revs, and then it doesn't go all the way down immediately but in 2 stages, first to around 1100, and than lower to default idle. This could maybe even be because of the reset? (I removed the battery while I was doing all the work as stated in ETIS procedures when cleaning TB, and then when everything was ready, turned the key in position 2 for 1 minute so the TB "makes" all the data. cheers.
